Future Sprouts is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering children, families, schools, and communities through gardening, cooking, nutrition education, mindfulness, environmental stewardship, and hands-on learning. Our programs bring learning to life through hands-on experiences.
School & Community Gardens
We create and support growing spaces where children and communities can learn how food grows, experience the joy of planting and harvesting, and develop a meaningful connection with the natural world.
Cooking & Nutrition
From garden to kitchen to table, children and families learn how to prepare meals from scratch using fresh, wholesome ingredients, while developing cooking skills, understanding nutrition, and building healthy habits they can carry throughout their lives.
Children & Family Programs
We bring children, parents, caregivers, and communities together through gardening, cooking, creativity, education, and meaningful shared experiences.
Environmental Stewardship
We help young people understand that caring for our soil, water, plants, animals, and planet begins with the choices we make every day.

At Future Sprouts, we believe one of the greatest gifts we can give a child is a meaningful connection with Mother Earth.
Children need opportunities to step outside, put their hands in the soil, feel the grass beneath their feet, plant a seed, grow food, care for a tree, watch a butterfly, listen to the birds, and look up at the sky.
In a world where so much of childhood happens indoors and in front of screens, we invite children back into nature — where learning becomes something they can see, touch, smell, taste, hear, and feel.

A seed needs healthy soil, water, sunlight, patience, and care. Children do too.

Through our programs and community partnerships, we want children to grow not only food, but also confidence, curiosity, responsibility, compassion, healthy habits, and a deeper connection with the world around them.

Future Sprouts grew from decades of experience with food, nutrition, gardening, education, and community — and from seeing firsthand what happens when children are given meaningful opportunities to participate.
Our founder, Daniela Craciun, believes some of life's most important lessons can begin with something as simple as planting a seed, preparing a meal from scratch, caring for Mother Earth, or sitting together around a table.
